tbh i was thinking of spending around £1k on the car in feb (should have money by then) and from various things ive read i was thinking fast road set up would be one of the most beneficial mods to do early on but put a post up on civic type r oc and everyone seems to recomend with £1k to spend i should look at k100/kpro first so bit unsure now lol. Think ill wack a post up here and see what people on this side of the fence reckon
Springs and fast road set up needs to be done first IMO.
£1k is not enough to get yourself sorted with Kpro, and all the trimmings.
Depending on what you want, I would sugest a manifold, decent exhaust (catback) Spoon, Fuji, Toda and also a decent filter such as a Gruppe M, ITG, maybe an RBC inlet manifold then factor in the Kpro (£600-700) and mapping time. and you are at around the £2k figure.
I had a Gruppe M, Fujitsubo RM01A RBC inlet and Toda header and I made 247BHP at TDI north when tuned.
The best thing to do is to buy the parts and hoard them ready for a fitting and mapping session all in a oner to save getting the car mapped once and then having to get it remapped as you add different parts.
Of course you can get Kpro and get it mapped with just an exhaust and air filter but that is pointless imo, to get the real benefits you need a race header (manifold) on there.
With £1k I would get springs, camber arms/bolts and fast road set up at TGM (£500 all in) and use the other £500 to sniff out some of the things I have mentioned above.
You could always get some braided brake lines while you are there too
