Fitting Mugen splitter, and keeping rubber strip.

The rubber strip on the standard front bumper (pre-face) that has a bit of protection to the plastic, do you lose that when fitting a mugen splitter?

My guy couldn't get the rubber strip on when he put my splitter on.

Its an ar$e.
