HelLo how are you ? hope everyone is good

BTw i'm so humbled and glad to be hosted by one of most influential forums (type -r owners.co.uk) specialized in any topics related to civic type r rides, by sharing my friend's fn2 type r full-job turbo build done at RACING DIMENSION - Jordan, the car is from king of Saudi Arabia

While Honda Civic fn2 type r no longer resembles what it looked like when it rolled out of the factory since buying it, it's kinda a special full - job turbo build-whether it makes you add or put a smile on your face. I picked up the car from honda dealer in 2011 nearby where i live

going through knowledge and mechanical background is not an easy job others think, i didnt know half-ass anything under the hood. My engine bay is impeccably and abruptly clean, thanks to hours and hours of modifying the car. And taking a page from the proven hot rod methodology, a more powerful K20 was done then dropped in the place of the original k-series motor engine by modifying same factory k20z4. From there, every performance part that could fit was thrown into the right place ensuring the quality of work and fab output, from the mounting hardware to the customs jobs on some oem parts . "I didn't want to use the old hardware because it was weary and would kill the look of all the work he was going to do as he wanted to beone of most powerfull fn2 type r ," And just when you think a K20 in a shaved FN2 bay wasn't enough easy to modify, he decided to break the rules to attract the honda lovers attention'. How's that for attention?! loool

The overall theme of the build was meant to be unique. he wanted the car to look 'aggressive' from the inside but when you pop the hood, even a non-car person would be surprised. mohannad put all his focuses on the smaller and bigger details a such as rebuilding from a to z including the fuel system, upgraded brakes calipers and upgrading the lines, selecting turbo yields fast spool, adding full valve-train head job with port and polish jobs, upgrading all engine's chain kits with heavy duty parts like oil pump and chains including timing and tensioner, balance killer kit ... installing increased capacity stroker kit for high boost ..etc and lot of parts to be mentioned next.

So many things being done to this motor it's almost unbelievable. buying and selecting took more than year and half, parts were chosen carefully from accredited performance shop in an assist with technicians and honda friends ..... now mods list for this ride is summarized below:

here are the pics below:

cp pistons 9.1.1, bc lw h-beam rods:

acl race bearings:

bc 92 mm billet crankshaft:

toda racing vtc control cam sprokets for intake and exhaust:

toda racing heavy duty timing chain and oil pump
toda racing heavy duty balancer chain
toda racing heavy duty oil pump chain
toda racing k20a(cl7/fn2)balancer shaft killer kit
toda racing k20a(cl7/fn2) balance shaft killer with optional baffle plate
toda racing chain tensioner k20/k24:

bc valavetrain complete set for z4 head including dual spring, titanium retainers and seat locators, ferrera intake and exhaust valves ... see that head code is rsp-2 for z4 engine:

darton wet sleeves installed and block o-ringing done, arp studs installed and cometic head gasket is attached to this setup:

bc camshaft with toda rocker arms plugs/spacers:

canton racing oil pan:

valve cover refurbished with new red paint:

full-race t3 turbo manifold for k-series and garret gtx40 a/r 72 turbo:

while dropping the engine in the bay, the modification staff members at racing dimension garage in Jordan faced a very little problem ... the new oil pan installed under the cylinder block touches the passenger's side of the cross member ( cross bar ) so they removed the engine again to dismantle the oil pan and install the oem one instead of it with doing custom works for fitting oil return and feed lines converting it from non-baffled to baffled oil pan with fitting or adapters ... the engine was dropped successfully with 100% line up ... no cut, weld done on chasses ... only oem oil pan is installed with some mods on it .... the oil pan was being removed and bay is emptied again ...see the pic how big the right side of cross member is ..that why the oil pan got stick with it .... mission was really so difficult at all:

tail wastegate 60mm:

8-an oil feed and 10-an oil return with red-blue fittings :

gato intake manifold with 8-injector fuel rail, full-race turbo manifold heat shield, full-race 3 inches intercooler piping and 2.5 inches custom exhaust system piping from under middle of chassis the backside,DSS axles stage 5.9 +500 whp also appear :

fuel system including sytec 044 fuel pump, custom fuel lines with red-blue fitting, sard fuel regultor, fuel surge tank:

almost finished:

8 injectors installed .... 1000 cc injector dynamic, be informed that in link g4+ extreme ecu will be ued rather than hondata flashbro which has limitations in options for ecu tuning .... ecu link will handle the 8 injectors, also link 4-bar map sesnor installed and link electrical throttle body is on:

full race intercoller with 3.5 inches piping, turbo isolater is wrapped on the turbo for prevention of head radiation under the hood:

a few steps away till we are finished, koyard radiator installed, hks filter on the turbo's compressor housing installed to prevent any dusts, stones and foreign substances from entering inside the turbo, custom oil catch can is done with lines connected the engine, hks vaccum kit 4 mm installed:

final looks:

we have finished the whole tuning in about 3 months, the labors at garage are extremely more professional than ever .. they spent every second on car to have it modified and fully built wit unique fab in accordance with their own tuning experiences .... now it is the first engine start ...stay tuned till we have get dyno tuning finished:
