The work was done by Iain Brown from Finerdetails and a fine job he did to. This is his post on the detailingworld forum: -

A request for some paint correction to an Audi A3 following an unfortunate trip to a brush car wash. The owner decided to opt for the Full Swissvax Detail too.

Thank you for reading

Looking good fella. Just out of interest, how much does a decent detail cost?

There are so many factors it would be hard to say, e.g. some chaps do this on a part time basis so might be cheaper than the pros, it also depends on whether or not your car requires machine polishing to remove paint swirls, cost of the products they use, etc.

This is what the guy I used charges

Swisswax is awesome stuff :twisted:

My pal Andy that Details uses this & you wouldn't beleive how expensive it is.

Sounds like the paint was in very good nick considering what he used.

Looks superb :cool::cool::cool:

wish I had the cash to pay someone do that, top job :smt023

Makes me want to clean mine, been too long :lol:

Nice one. Im currently topping my swissvax range at the mo. Have some onyx and am getting some Best of Show soon (£120)

I detail on part time basis. I have not yet had an offer to pc so couldnt say what i would charge but it would depend on the car tbh. I charged £70 for a full detail with zymol products on a land rover recently which was not to hard but they wanted very little paint correction so was all by hand over around 4.5 hours.

A before and after of the land rover

Also did a bmw the same day which was new but needed waxing etc

If anyone ever wanted a minor detail i.e. wash, polish, seal and wax (no pc or paint correction) I could do it for £30-50 depending on wax used as i know honda paint well now and how to do a very good job quickly!

Im in Bath so pm me if you are not far away or just after advise :D

Sorrt to thread hijack mate, finerdetails are fanatastic and swissvax are brilliant. Keep it up with the two bucket method over winter (try and top the wax up if you can soon) and it will look great for ages ;)
