The work was done by Iain Brown from Finerdetails and a fine job he did to. This is his post on the detailingworld forum: -
A request for some paint correction to an Audi A3 following an unfortunate trip to a brush car wash. The owner decided to opt for the Full Swissvax Detail too.
Befores:
an attempt to capture the grey looking paintowrk:
Inside:
Process(a short snappy list due to volume of pics):
Washing & Cleaning:
• wheels and wheel arches
• door shuts, boot and bonnet edges
• de-greaser to engine bay, and rinse
• Wash paintwork and glass on exterior of car
• Clay bar on paintwork and all exterior glass
• Dry all exterior
Preparation Work:
• paint depth readings
• 3m tape as required
Paint Correction
• Menz IP and a light cut 6 inch pad. The IP actually bahaved today - and with almost no dust at all!!! I think this is the first time I have seen IP behave this well!
Cleansing:
• Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Pro applied to all paintwork, including door shuts and alloy wheels.
Wax:
• Saphir wax applied to the paintwork, including door shuts.
Detailing Dressings and Protectants:
• Clean and seal all plastics and rubber window seals with Seal Feed/Pneu
• Autobahm Wheel Wax to alloy wheels
• Pneu applied to tyres and wheels arches
• Exterior Glass with Crystal
• Exhaust with Metal Polish
Interior:
• Vacuumed all interior removing all dirt and debris.
• All hard surfaces cleaned, ensuring no dust/marks left in crevices or on switch gear.
• Leather surfaces cleaned with Leather brush and cleaner
• Leather Milk applied to leather seats
• Floor mats cleaned with the extractor
• Clean door seals treated with seal feed to protect and dress
