HID's on Facelift Ep3.

I think i'm right in saying all facelift Ep3's have the projector lenses...

Has anyone got and pics of them with a HID conversion?

I'm looking at going for 6000k.

Do the Ep3's just use standard H4 bulbs in projector lenses or are they actually Xenon bulb units?

They are h1 halogen mounted in a holder.

Thats the one most people tend to do. You don't use full beam much so little point putting HIDs into anything else. Just get some bulbs which match the colour of your dipped beam HIDs and you're sorted

The instructions on these say headlight removal is required, is that really necessary?

Don't think it is, you get clear access to the back of both of them.

i fitted mine without removing anything and i have massive hands

Its fidgety , just make sure you dont damage the bulb when trying to get it in the hole

I removed my headlights but it's not required. I did it as it was cold and felt I could do a better job in the house with warm hands
