Not sure if this is in the right section...

Will a hpi check show up any recorded insurance work or cat a, b, c, d?

Not always. My EP3 had to have a whole new rear quarter (the whole side from the drivers door to the rear light), done through the insurance and was HPI clear when I sold it 18 months later.

Good point, I forgot about that.

a good test to see if a car is cat d is the location.

if the car is being sold in bradford/birmingham/london then it will be a cat d.

i thought it was meant to say on the logbook? obviously that would also be down to the owner declaring it, or am i miles off?
