Is there a way of doing this? cars coming up to its 62500k service so just wondering wether to get my gear box oil changed the same time

Thanks Dan ;)

Even if I knew how to check it, I dont know what I'd be looking at!

If there is no evidence of a change in any of the history, it might be worth changing it for piece of mind.

If you check the Service book I'm pretty sure it's scheduled out when they change it and what oil they will use (that's if you have the book ofcourse)

You can only check the level by taking the filler plug off and even then it won't be easy.

1.7 litres needed.

£10 a litre is fine for std Honda MTF.

I paid £14 a litre for my uprated Castrol MTF

I changed mine at the weekend on the DC5 at 40k feels so much better! definitely worth doing as I found the 2nd gear to be horrid in the cold and it glides in now, use Chris's "how to" :smt047 I followed it and very easy to do :D
