Finally managed to install my HP140 iRiver into the Civic.
I have the orginal HU and had to order an adaptor from In Car Development (
http://www.icd-ltd.com tel 0121 502 0999) which cost £67 delivered. The adaptor allows you to have a aux input using the CD changer port.
So i got the HonS3 adaptor and it fitted a treat. Though I did scratch my arms to bits getting the dash off to gain access to the rear of the HU, and I also broke the glovebox
.
I hid the adaptor just to the right of the glovebox. Then ran the phono to 3.5mm jack lead from this position behind the ash tray and under the hand brake console. I drilled a hole in the cubby hole so I could leave the iRiver in the cubby hole.
I need to make a little bracket or something similar to hold the iRiver, but most of the time it will be operated from the remote.
Sounds excellent 8) so now have about 140 Cd's at my fingertips no more CD wallets
The adaptor, just added some tape to cure a little rattle
This was a little difficult to drill this hole because i couldn't remove the unit completely which meant i struggled getting a drill in there. Most of it was down with a file
this is the remote which I have complete control over the iRiver
This is the main unit, but I need to get this a bit more neater by making a bracket
