Is it worth cleaning throttle body?

Hi, is it worth cleaning my throttle body and Idle control valve? Is it easy to do and what cleaner would anyone recommend? My ep3 has 82k on the clock and sometimes when warmed up I get random hesitation!
Has anyone else experienced this?
cheers

Yes, It is worth the hassle of cleaning your throttle body and Idle control valve.

If it was cleaned you wouldnt get the random hesitation while idling.

I would say you would benefit from cleaning the Idle Control Valve. It should turn freely and when it gets gunked up can cause hesitation. Cleaning the Throttle Body won't make much of a difference imo but you can still give it a clean as you have to take it off to access the IACV.

It is not a big job to do. You will just need a basic tool kit and some carb cleaner/cotton earbuds to do the job.

Have a search on the forum for IACV, there should be a couple of threads on the best procedure to do it.

Edit

Found the thread on how i clean my IACV when i gave my CTR a full service not long ago. Hope it helps.

Thanks for that thread. I will give it a good clean out. Sorry to ask but what throttle / carb cleaner did you use? Cheers.
