Loxy's silver FN2 GT - J's Braces

I want to hear the throttle bodies

If you are thinking ITB, then look at this.

I've had one of these put on! (just without the badge)

How much are ITBs then? I cba to look for the thread lol.

Individual throttle bodies are around £2,500 +VAT. The FN2/FD2 and S2000 06+ are throttle-by-wire so you also need a throttle cable conversion on these which means new pedals as well. Definitely not cheap, and probably little gains.

This is my graph from my current set-up. Big lump of torque from 4,500 rpm onwards.

That is one of the better intakes for the FN2 Chris. It makes more than the GruppeM day to day. There's only really the Mugen that is any better and that really needs the fog light garnish and I don't fancy losing my fog lights.
Fair enough.

Really John? You don't think they'd be much difference between the setup with itbs?
Not calling you a fibber mate, but find that hard to believe man. Would be worth it for the noise alone & reduced mpg

As above I thought ITBs made quite an impact... But I wasn't certain enough to say

I'll spend the rest of the night looking for graphs wont I?

I've basically been told that they aren't £3k+VAT and fitting worth of gains. Maybe if you've done everything else. For £3k you could be looking at stroker kits which would give a good hike in usable torque. ;)

Hold on: http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1553564

They look like they make 20 whp on an already sorted set-up. One graph on the thread shows 7hp but a fair bit of torque?

But considering it from that perspective you could spend 3k + current car value and get something with 300 torques and infinity horsepower. They still make good gains! It's just not proportional to the spend... But power chasing very rarely is outside of buying big turbo tubez.

Been reading over the posts i love the fact youve gone back to N/A dont get me wrong id love a supercharger bit i think the type r's are special because of there awesomeness as an N/A. Keep up the good work cant wait to see it at tdi meet youle have to take me for a spin neer been in an FN2

I was one of the lucky 1's to ride shotgun when john had the charger fitted :-D

Sad to see it go, but NA FTW!

This is how it sounds now. Not as quick but sounds much more purposeful!
