My Evo X SST FQ300

What's the difference between the GS FQ300 and the GSR FQ300?

GSR has:-

HDD satnav
30 Gig Music server
Rockford fosgate premuim Audio
6 spks and subwoofer
Ipod/mp3 aux input

I think the GSR was about £2-2.5k dearer than the GSR. The stereo is supposed to be pretty good though.

Dearer than the GS you mean?
So the R just means banging sound system  does sound pretty awesome though. I always wanted the RF gear back in the day.

As per Facebook, shame it's a CAT C, but it does look awesome

I think mine is a 60GB HDD :smt047
It is a very good system and my ipod AV cable has come today so i can play some tunes from my phone

Nice looking motor Mark, although 9's always pip it for me! Still I'm sure it'd waste my diesel!

I went for the 10 as its a bit more practical than the 9 and 8. Only a bit mind

His and her evo's require a drag race at Santa pod

Ive got to book the Shell tanker first

You'll enjoy it, great cars - just keep your eye on the AYC pump.

I'll make sure they both have their services on time. Our local garage Hoddens are spot on without the bullsh*t of the "specialist" garages.
E.g. Evo 8 oil change -

Mitsubishi - £400
Other garage - £200
Hoddens - £140

Asked them why they are so cheap and they said its a 2.0l engine. Its just an oil & fluids.

Sam's is due another service, i think its been 6 months so it'll be booked in soon.

Mine is going for an interior clean tomorrow as it stinks a bit. I need it fresh!

AYC pumps are a fairly inexpensive repair nowadays.
Gone are the days when it was over £2k to fix them.

Even on Xs? I thought there were only a couple of places that could do them?

Admittedly I've not been on MLR for a while so things could well have changed.

From what I've been reading it's upto about £500 max for a repair.
I've never had a problem with any of mine on all my cars.
The 10's pump is apparently in a pretty good place for collecting crud though.

Whats the MPG when your driving sensible compared to tanking it?

Ive not used a full tank yet but to give you an idea, Sam's Evo 8 is on 290 miles from majority of motorway driving and mixed driving around the town. Mine has the automatic mode so I believe I'll get about 320 if I can be sensible. That's a big if though

So......

Downpipe?
FMIC?
Remap?

:)

Not yet, going to get it looking nice first. So far I need to:-

Sort out the stone chips on he side skirts
2 rear tyres
New spare key
And full machine polish

The interior is being done as I speak or type.
