Well, I gave the car some TLC today and I do not normally enjoy cleaning cars but on this occasion it was a pleasure
It was evident to see the previous owner had looked after it like a baby as it was a piece of cake to clean (boy am I glad I do not own a NHB car anymore!)
I used the megs
'2 bucket' method, and waxed afterwards with meguirs NXT wax and quick detailer, gave the interior a good hoovering, wet washed the seats with autoglym interior cleaner and polished using turtle wax strawberry scented interior cleaner and treated her to a brand new 'new car' scented magic tree.. I also gave the engine bay a good going over.
I will also remove the rest of the 'sun strip' when I grow some finger nails back!
Out of my 5 Type R's I have owned this is by far my favourite
I thought I liked my DC5 the best but this car has changed my mind
I have done just under 900 miles in her now and the engine oil has not budged at all on the dipstick.
Breitling!
Just a couple of pictures I took on the phone so excuse the quality
I am looking forward to getting my white OEM wheels fitted on Tuesday, although I can see they will be a pain to keep clean.
I am also going to get TGM fast road set up and spoon springs fitted, aspirations for the future of the car will included a race header (probably Toda) as I still have the JDM 4-2 and 2-1 (CAT) in place so I think a header will release some BHP, Gruppe M (before the winter) and possibly a change of exhaust to Spoon or maybe even the new style Toda if funds allow. Not forgetting J's strut bars all over the shop and a mugen wing/splitter :smt047
