My new JDM dc2 type R Build up!

I cleaned the seats yesterday, this was the condition before i cleaned them

I started off by soaking the seats in hot water, and gently rubbing the dirty stained areas

Once soaked, i foamed the seats and left it for 5 minutes and rubbed the whole seat down, i repeated this 2-3 times.

I soaked the seat with hot water again and rubbed the stubborn areas again to make sure they where now clean.

I then got the water vac and slowly whilst pressing down firmly vac'd all the water out of the seat, its not very pleasant seeing how much dirt is in your seats :?

The fished result is miles better, gone are all the black stains grubby marks! :D

I also painted my wiper arms as they where all rusty

16102008684.jpg

So firstly i rubbed them down smooth, then i primered them

16102008687.jpg

Then gave them a few coats of black paint and a coat of laquer.

Finished result

Would love to do a project like the but patience is not something i always possess. plus i'm lazy!

Top job mate, fresh wipers like the ones you did make the world of difference IMO.

I realllyy like them, i wasnt a fan of the thought of 4 spokes, but as soon as i put them on i was like :p 8) 8)

Very nice! Very good job on the seats, they've come out so nice! I would never thought those rims would go, but once they're on, they certainly do stand out!

Thanks for the comments

I'm after some 4300k hids, std back box, adjustable camber arms and a full alignment setup next

Collected a standard backbox in mint condition and type R side graphics today, so ill fit them next weekend as i'm working away this week.

std back box is being a bit of a pain to fit, as the flange on the magnaflow eggsause is straight, and the OEM is offset so i will need to cut and weld it in the correct place.

Got some pics last night, thanks to flybikeslee,

That's annoying, let us know how you get on with that! Very nice photo's mate, I love the way they've been taken, liking your car more every time I see it! Doing a good! Just curious, were those pictures taken in Bluewater?

Thanks alot man!:D

They where all taken in liverpool, the indoor car park is the john lewis car park;)

Aha no wonder why it looked familiar because the John Lewis car park in Bluewater is quite similar. In the back of my head I kinda thought the car park you were in couldn't of been from Bluewater as yours seems to be a lot cleaner looking heh.

Painted the repaired area to stop any rust, sound MUCH better IMO, induction noise FTW

Good job mate the cars looking spot on, rims go really well on the car great thread nice to see the progress you have made and some nice pics. My missis isnt a fan of dc2s but yours she loves!!! :smt038

I'm not sure on those wheels, one minute I like them, then I look again and I don't. Guess I'd have to see them in the flesh.

Thanks for the comments, i love the wheels! i put them on and just felt they suited the car so well, they look fresh yet moody at the same time IMO just as a teg should look moody and aggressive.

I nipped the teg to Ian at Pipeworx today, to fettle the exhaust and make sure it was a good tight fit.....as ground clearance isnt my best friend!
