For future info... the last time I needed to go to System-R which is nearly a year ago now

£35 + VAT per hour labour...

Cheers Judderman, that sounds more reasonable to me, compared to the £73+VAT Honda tried to charge me.

The inlet manifold port plate is a commen fault on the ATR, they block up with soot, which eventualy result's in the EML light coming on.

Also commen for the ATR to have tight valve clearances,(especially on the exhaust side) they should be checked/adjusted at 27k/54k/81k services.

So in my eyes the dealer has done a good job mechanicaly wise, obviously their customer care needs work, and the CSA has no idea either, if 4 of the tappet's were completely closed i'd be surprised if it even ran, a little bit of over exaduration me think's

Glad it's sorted though mate :D

TJ, thanks for explaining all that. The car is due it's 81k service soon, as it's currently on 78k. I think I'll take it to the dealer in Altrincham, as I used to take my old car (04 Accord Sport) there for services and they were excellent, even cleaning and valeting the car every time it went in for a service. Although to be fair, I was doing 40k a year and it was a lease car, so I probably made them a fortune!

On another note, your car is mint and in particular your engine bay looks great. Did you paint the rocker cover yourself? I either need to paint mine, or get a nice cover for it (preferred).

What are you getting at? Are you saying that is expensive or cheap or what? Where else do you recommend in the NorthWest?

It's a reasonable rate, very reasonable. 8) Most garages will charge around that, let alone specialists and tuners. :)

Need to do it again though at some point, it's a far lighter colour than i'd like, dryed nothing like the colour on the cap :(
