used a.s.r for 5 weeks ? once a week has improved the swirls, will waxing get rid of them now ? help please just want them gone.:smt006

ASR?

Nope, a wax will not correct them.

If working by hand, then SRP is the easiest bet. However Bilt Hamber auto balm is proven to give fantastic results by hand.

It is also a durable product.

Example

Can be bought from here.

Also, I'm not too far from you if you fancied some machining action ;)

Hi rf55,

Please be aware that SRP or Bilt Hamber Autobalm will only "mask" the swirls and the swirls will reappear after a few washes. Wax is only used to protect the paintwork from the elements and it is the polishing stage that removes the swirlmarks.

The only way you are going to remove the swirlmarks altogether is to hand polish with something like Menzerna Final Finish (which is going to be extremely hard work) or a machine polish with a similar polish which is much easier to do and will take 10 times less time as well.

Since your not based too far from me (I'm based in West Bromwich), feel free to check out my website and if you prefer, I can do the work for you at a very affordable price (discounts apply). Please see here:-
