I know this is slightly off topic but what was the surface like of North Weald. The RX7 boys are there on the Thursday and also there will be some drifty action there later this year.

Is it quite harsh on the tyres or pretty forgiving?

I found it tough on my tyres tbh Daryl

I'm not sure about other people though.

My pal in his Fiesta had signs it had been on track, but his wear wasn't as bad as mine. I think tyre compounds have alot to do with it tbh mate.

The tarmac is good but a bit bumpy in places, the slalom course in on concrete so is harsher.

Best bet is to get them to seriously increase the tyre pressures, that way they wont roll over onto the side walls

i was in the Skyline and it was pretty heavy on tyres

surface is quite varied and found change or surface made the car behave quite erratically

the fast corner and the larger circuit, coupled with lots of understeer has left my tires well and truly "scrubbed"

got another NW day next month, then new rubber for the ring methinks
