pre facelift. facelift

another newbie question. iv just bought a 2004 civic type r and im needing a few front end parts, headlight,wing, bonnet, bumper etc. im looking at parts on ebay and some say 2001-2004 pre facelift and some say 2004-2006 facelift. how do i no what mine is

I expect yours is 2004 facelift. You could just buy the same as you have...

Yours will have the red/black seats if its facelift, Big red H front grill, clear "lexus" style rear lights. Two holes in the front bumper either side of the opening in the middle.

Facelifts have a lighter flywheel and clutch.

Easiest way to spot the difference usually, is facelifts have their side indicators on the mirrors. Pre-facelifts have their side indicators on the bodywork.

Facelifts have a lighter flywheel and clutch.

Also there is suspension differences because it you drive them back to back the facelift feels a little softer but better to drive more positive
