It's a pretty common trick of copper slipping the back of the pads to stop them squealing.Do not put ‘copper slip’ anywhere near your brakes ever!

Hardly, stops unwanted noises and I've done it on every brake change I've ever done.It’s also really bad practice.

OkayDoesn’t mean it’s right though. No brake or car manufacturer will advise putting copper slip anywhere near your brakes.

That's rubbish, every time iv'e put OEM brembo pads in they come with copper slip.
