Questions about this aftermarket gear gaiter...

I tried fitting the red alcantara one off ebay today (£8 I think). 100% BALLACHE. Doesn't fit either - too long so just looks gash. Chucked it.

Think you'll need to glue the bottom of the gaitor to the surrounds though, that's how I did mine.
 
Imo the leather and alcantara gaiters just don't look right, I wouldn't bother, I prefer the original rubber gaiter but that's just me.
 
Original gaiter looks like the end of a toilet plunger though lol, feels cheap!

Alcantara to match the seats is what I really want.
 
I have had both Alacantra and Leather one's and i had to superglue the bottom onto the plastic ring for both of them to stay put.

I ended up going back to standard in the end, looks better imo.
 
I didnt mind the standard one but mine was ripped when i got my car so was one of first things to get changed.

I have the red one in my car with matching handbreak cover and it looks really good, especially with my nice gold gear knob ;)
