Replacing 'Type R' emblem - Removing old & fixing new

Just got a new Type R emblem to go on the boot of my EP3 because the red paint has just about all gone on mine. Just wondered what the best way of removing the old emblem is?

Also, when im applying the new one, ive heard putting some soapy water on the area I want to put it will give me a bit of play while sticking it so I can make sure its straight & in the right place. Is that right? Dont want to accidentaly stick it wrong with no way of getting it back off easily again or having to buy another one :lol:

Fishing line behind it to get it off. Then rub and polish away what's left on the car.

I have heard of the soapy water thing before but never tried it myself.

fishing line as already said. However if you aint got any strong line, a credit card is also good for removing without leaving any marks.

dental floss works a treat, then scrub and polish
