Rota grid concave/drift??

17x8.5 et30 would be the closest for fitment. But you'd need rear arches fully rolled and some serious negative camber to clear the arches.

Really want to avoid huge negative camber don't mind having abit of arch work done and a small amount of negative camber. Still want to have full use of the k20. Ideally I'd like to find a set 16/8- et35. It's hard to find rims to fit the ep3 there doesn't seem to much that takes my liking. I do like the rays volks te37 but ££££!!!

Why 16's? If you want 8inch wide then et35 is about the max without having to have massive negative camber. You'll still need arches rolling.

It may not need huge camber. But you're going to have to work the arches some. If you're DIY'ing it, I suggest heat and a good arch roller. If not talk to Arch Enemy, they are good people.
As Lewis has said, that width and ET is going to make things pretty difficult. You're effectively adding 1 1/2 inches to the width of the wheel. I'm guessing Coilovers and 16's is for a more Stanced look, for that you can still get the most out of the motor, but you're compromising on the handling. The EP is a tough one when it comes to wheel choice.

Im not fussed about colour because that can be changed I'm looking for the perfect wheel design although this is becoming a hard choice. What wheel do you guys think suit a black premier edition ep3 the best. I think bronze in colour looks good and the rota grid concave in design. I want the wheels to have a bit of poke and I don't mind having the arches rolled if need be, don't want silly rear camber just nice snug fitted rims

If you want them to fit, then it can be done without a tonne of camber. If you roll the arches and dial in about 1.5degrees negative, they should sit okay. If they scrub, then you may need to get the arches flared slightly. It should be a pretty easy job.
I've just fitted 15x8's ET0 on my MX5. Loads of people said I'd never get them on there, but after a good roll of the arches they fit perfect. Also allowed me to lower the car a bit more.
Just follow the Stance:Nation rule - If they don't fit, then make them fit

Also spoke to stanceuk, they say you can fit:
17"x8j et40
18"x8j et40
et35 will poke out on a 8j and will need arches rolled
et45 will need a spacer to bring the wheel out.

Well my DC5 had Boosts on it. They were 17x8 ET35. But I had 10mm of spacers on there so effectively ET25. They had a small poke that I got over with a slight stretch on the tyres and 1 degree of camber.

Pretty sure DC5 wheels are ET45. That's why you need spacers on the rear to clear the trailing arm.
17x8 ET40 seems to be a rare wheel size. They're either ET35 or ET45

^^^ that is true it is rare,
I'm trying to understand the whole offset measuring. I know you get the measurement via dividing the rim width by two. And measure from the centre line to hubface. But surely the with a greater positive offset would create more poke. Hard to get your head round it without the wheels being infront of you.

SPD Automotive are cheaper,
you will never get a decent concave look with these cars because of the limitations of relatively narrow width wheels and stupid offsets
