Saving Ryan's EP3 build.

Well guys I'm currently working away from home and got bored tonight so thought I would start a thread to track my progress on my ep3.

I bought this car as a run around after writing off my supra but I've actually fell in love with the car so going to be keeping it for a while.

Here's some pics of the supra.

Now onto the ep3. I've had the car for just over a year. This car was a bit off a dog so I've spent most of my money tidying it up. Also the div before me had siliconed on the rocker cover which had managed to fall into my engine and block my oil pump, so automek fitted a new oil pump and I had the timing chain and tensioner done at the same time as non genuine parts were on the car. The wheels on the car which were brand new were set up for the stance look which I also hated along with many other things.
Here's a pic of how the car looked when I bought it.

Here's a list of what I've done so far :

Replaced cheap coil overs with eibach sportline spring and standard shocks.
De wipered the rear
Front caliper rebuild, drop links, disk, pads, ball joints all replaced by automek.
Enkei rs evolution split rims 17x7, I had these powder coated silver and the lips polished
Aem v1
Mugen oil cap
Hks radiator cap
New battery
New boot lid after somebody reversed into my car and drove away.
Premier recaro seats
Omp Corsica steering wheel
Kenwood head unit
Neo chrome teishi gear knob
Neo chrome wheel nuts
Genuine tactical art decal
Etech front strut brace

Here's some pics of how she currently stands.

that supra!!!!!!!!!!! more pics!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about writing off your old car, how it happen? But the type r is a pretty good successor to have fun in until you find something bigger

I fancy making the type r quicker mate I'm loving driving it more than the supra. Happened in heavy rain. I was cruising at 70 and aquaplaned, the back end just stepped out and I lost it probably from inexperience if I'm honest.

Nice looking EP3 mate. Shame about the supra, aquaplaning is always a risk in that sort of car. I hope everyone was ok, that must have been scary as ****!

You in the central belt?

I managed to save it kind of, could have been a lot worse. Nobody was hurt managed to limp the car off the motorway.
I'm in Rutherglen so just next to Hampden stadium.

That's good, real pity to lose such a nice car though. EP3 is a great replacement though, they were built for the roads we have here! I'm looking forward to seeing it at an outsider meet.

Yeh I love how you can throw them into corners, totally different beast from the supra. Yeh there's some cracking roads around here.

Small update, fitted a hydro shield to my aem cai today. Took the filter off and gave it a good clean while I was at it.

Got some parts to fit that I've collected for some mega cheap prices over the past few weeks,
First was the tanabe front chassis brace thanks to Tarmacnympth.
Next was the spc camber arms from ctr-asch from over on the civic type r owners club.
And lastly a tegiwa m from a guy on Facebook for not a lot of money with everything included, only thing I'll need to get is a new sfs hose at some point because I don't like the yellow one that has come with the kit.

I needed new camber arms because mine are seized.
My aem cai is terrible in the wet, I don't trust it so thought the tegiwa m was a good idea.
I also picked up a rocker cover for £20 so going to have that powder coated white.

I'll get some pics of the stuff over the next couple of days. Hopefully I get time to fit it all soon.

Thought I would but up some pics from last weeks outsiders meet I can't take credit for the photos but thought you guys might like to see them, wish I had got pictures from this week. There's was everything there from mk2 escorts to full blown drift machines, quality of cars was amazing.

Some tasty cars there. That 180sx is just porn.

Good Scottish bargain hunting there mate! I've got an oem intake hose lying around if you want it.

That would be great mate if I could grab that off you.
Some of the cars that have been turning up are just nuts, there was a lovely yellow mk2 escort at the weekend.

Just noticed, facelift grill and bumper?

They sound mental the GruppeMs/TegiwaMs.

Couple of updates, collected some more parts for the car.
Some corbeau club sports and some rails thanks to Jimbo and iceman

And here's a pic of my R next to the monstrosity of a courtesy car I've been subjected to driving for the past few weeks...
