Sportex centre section or this one off ebay

the sportex has a bore of 63.5 and the one you have shown listed is 60mm, whether that influences your decision.
The sportex will last between 2-3 years from experience.

Have you looked at getting a custom one done? are there any fabricators near you?
they are often very reasonably priced

the only local is a powerflow place, not sure on there quality of fitting as there young lads, dosent mean alot i know but also dosent say experinced in welding/fabricating to me

60/63 i dont think will make a huge amount of diffence as its a complety standard car. not sure if the stainless one is a good fit bit looks ok. Sportex has been known to fit well enough with minor work. just after a little more grunt and the standard look. not fussed about gains. thanks for the reply

Sportex was a straight fit for me, I think it very occasionally needs minor work to make fit, if you are capable of fitting a b pipe then the minor work will be a breeze.
If your happy with mild steel and having to replace in 2-3 years time then go for it, it sounds great and is cheap enough to replace.
£80 delivered for a b pipe is an absolute bargain

Buy the Sportex and get some Hammerite spray, coat it in 3-4 good thick coats and will last a while longer.

Sounds like a good idea, going to look at the custom price tonight , then order one of not , I presume it's a new 2.5" doghnut gasket and bolts backbox end , then just a flat gasket and bolts cat End

could anyone confirm these parts will fit with the Sportex B-pipe

bolts b-pipe to Cat i'll get from work

I'm just uncertain if I'm meant to get oem sizes or 2.5" sizes, don't want to cut the bolts to get it off and have the wrong parts , thank you

OEM gaskets and bolts to fit, well that's what I did, but you may want confirmation off someone else, its been a while since I did it.

That's brilliant then I'll just order oem sizes , says it fits oem so shorly it must be ideal using 2.25 " sizes

Sportex B pipe is great for the price, got one on mine and the rest of the system is standard, it's how the ep3 should of sounded from factory IMO.

do you remember gasket sizes you used, I've ordered all standard apart from b-pipe to backbox as I've ordered a 2.5" for this as it says the centre section is 2.5"

I'm pretty sure the B pipe I got had a gasket with it, then i just bought another one of the standard doughnut style gaskets that connects the B pipe to the rear box.

fitted it today , the nuts on the cat were almost gone had to heat and use special sockets to remove them , the studs on the cat were shot so fitted nuts and bolts for now. ordered new studs and nuts from Lings Honda for 80pence £5 postage :)

gasket sizes are 2.25 ( believe is standard ) doughnut for the backbox and standard size gasket for the cat

makes a real nice sound now and not overly loud
