Strange Noise?

Hey guys, so while pulled over a strange noise just started under the bonnet happens for about 10 seconds then stops then starts again, any idea what this could be? I think maybe the pully, iv taken a video and it sounds in the video the same as in person.

Hi mate, I would say that's the bearings in either the auto tensioner pulley or the idler pulley. Both are about £40 to buy and at the same time if you haven't had your aux belt changed, change this at the same time. As a temperary buy some of the following and spray the belt and pulleys until you get it sorted.

I had the same noise in my ep3 couple of weeks ago and it was the idler pulley. I took it out and repacked the bearing and it was quiet as anything. Sadly I only had bicycle grease to hand so after ~100 miles it's dry again and makes an even more fun noise.

Wish I'd heard of the spray Ricki mentioned, sounds good, I tried normal 3-in-1 oil and it just loosed up all the siht inside the bearing and made the noise worse.
