Sub And Amp To Standard Headunit

my mate has an EP2 and i looking for his sub and amp to be wired to the standard headunit. Is this possible? Has anyone on here done it before and is willing to do it again?

you need preouts i think for a sub/amp. someone more knowledgable should be along to advise.

It's possible, but it'd be a hash job and sound crud, and totally not worth it.

The best answer as stated above is to upgrade the headunit but....

You can add a sub using a Line Output Converter or LOC for short like this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pacsoem4-four-channel-converter.html

It won't sound as good as a sub run from an after market headunit but it will give you extra low end.

I've installed one in my car and it sounds OK but you do need to be careful otherwise you get rumble and bump noises.

You'd probably be better with a second hand aftermarket if funds are tight.

It WILL sound rubbish with the LOC, honestly, I've fitted endless ICE to many cars using the original stereo with a LOC and never been impressed. Upgrade to an aftermarket unit, it'll save you fitting a LOC, (and depending on the make and quality) sound far better, have more tuning adjustment and make glad you did!
