Just wondering if anyone has any pics of this as iam intrested in doing it myself with maybe a smoked color as i really dont like the standard clear tail lights on my milano as the whole cars black and red the lights just seem to spoil the look, some pics would be great if possible? Cheers!:D

You would be better off fitting pre-face rear lights.

Smoked lights would look very chavy IMO.

I've just done my preface lift with something a little random I'll post a pic up soon! I've only done it as a little thing till I can find some facelight rears

As you can see it looks pitch black but at night lights up great and reflectors still shine niceley

Using tights is an old trick. Its a good way to see how lights look smoked or blacked out. Ive done it a few times on cars when I was younger. Just take the light out and insert into a leg of the tights and do the same on the opposite side.

Looks shlt when you ladder them though.

I'm sorry but tights on lights is even worse than Lexus lights

I never said I was going to keep them did I just used it to see what smoked rears would look like I've got tinting film ordered ready for me to do over a weekend! An from what I'm aware quite a few people actually use this technique an a quick DIY! I'm pretty sure if I posted a picture with bulbous Lexus lights I'd have had a hell of alot more negative response! Also you wouldnt have even known It was tights if I had said I painted the rear.

I'm not allowed to post my opinion in this thread.

That said.

Tights/tinting lights = Should have been swallowed/spat/fired into tissue/flushed.

Wow I'm just casting an opinion, thats a bit over the top reply. However you can tell them a mile off as they're so flat, but I'm not getting into a row over a pair of tights lol

lol nope I'm not about to argue over tights either as I said it was jus to give me a up close idea of what it looks like

The 8th gen lot have taken to using stuff called Fly Eye film. It's probably the same as what civic_lover has mentioned.

Some people have done head lights and tail lights and don't seem to have an issue with MOTs.

Whether it looks good is a matter of opinion and seems very dependant on the colour of the car.

I have seen the fly eye mesh looking stuff but its not for me, I dont like it at all especially on headlights.

I have the flyeyes kit on my car, they are completely legal and mot friendly as they don't impair the lights in any way, the fronts on my cosmic look mega still undecided on the rears as of yet...

Few pics.....
