Changed exhaust down pipe & cat recently, also refurbished rocker cover fitted.Now have intermittent ticking from k20a. Sounds like tap pets on a mark 1 or2 escort to give you an idea. Car has 48800 on clock and is an 03. I'm shi**ing myself as this is the first thing that has ever gone wrong with the car, can anyone help?
 
The hydraulic lifters usually make a tappety sound, or it could be valve clearances need doing. Nothing to worry about probably ;)

Just had a professional down to listen to car and he is positive that it's the bottom end. I tend to believe him as he's done a number of K20A's and has a supercharged EP3 himself. Just would like to have an idea about cost!!!
