This isn't going to be to everybodys taste and I have made the fatal mistake of not asking random internet peoples opions before doing this. As I can think for myself and the fact this is my car I kind of figured I'd have a bit of fun with this mini project. Here are the pictures.....
Take one annoying inlet manifold cover which has scratch thanks to a spanner monkey. Add the spark plug cover into the mix.
Borrow a 40ish year old soldering iron from your Father. Throw the health and safety rule book out of the window and use comon sense buy not touching any dodgey wires.
Cut out a few pieces of plastic from a broken wingmirror cover and plastic weld them using the soldering iron while trying really hard not to get electicuted.
Give everything a damn good sanding to get rif of the rippled effect silver OEM finish.
Insert a hefty coating of plasitc filler primer.
Sand back until the smoothness is smoother than a smooth thing that has been smoothed a lot.
A quick coat of white primer and Ford Diamond White top coat later and thing look like this.
Sketch out the logo in the correct propotions.
Crikey Chief!
Quiet Penfold.
Out with the pencil followed by a marker pen to add the shizzle.
DM added to the mix.
Introduce some colour while decreasing photographic skills.
DM nearly finished.
Penfold all done.
Paint stuff.
Good old Frogtape!
I wasn't bricking it at this point..... honest!
Removed some of the tape ready for the next part.
More tape!
A bit of blue added and a sneaky peek as I got a bit carried away at this point!
All tape removed
Painted in the raised Honda logo.

Added a bit more detail and clear lacquered over the lot.
Top shot.
Fitted.
One final thought for all the haters, what happens under the bonnet stays under the bonnet.
