thought i would share i step by step k20 transformation from na to full boosted 25psi motor on stock liners

turbo is rated for 980bhp

that engine is not of the xo car but similar setup apart from darton sleeves . ye i was at croft it was wet

How come you stuck with the stock liners then after going so deep into every thing else?

Oh and great thread by the way love this kind of thing. I hope to do something like this to mine in the future but i dont think my humble mechanics wage would stretch that far

our k20 motor has darton close deck sleeves this is a customers engine build ashis budget did not stretch to machining of block and new sleeves but stock liners are quite strong with a block brace

Block brace? whats one of them do then??? well i guess it strengthens the engine block but how and where?

Block brace? whats one of them do then??? well i guess it strengthens the engine block but how and where?

what a block brace does is stops the cylinders from moving due to the high loads put through the cylinders, as the stock cylinders are one held at the bottom and are compleatly open up top. its bassicaly like a strut brace its stops flexing

rolling start is best way but goto be 100% dry road good rubber also helps
