hi there guys, slightly off topic. i just wanted to ask how the insurance would be affected with imported card. i have the choice to buy a 350z for about 7k but it is am import. the mileage is only 40k and had two owners. are there any other implications?
Just had my renewel quote from Adrian Flux, its about £600 or £67 a month if i pay monthly for ten months. Thats with eight or nine years no claims, protected no claims, no points on my licence and ill be 32 when its due to start. Going to shop around for cheaper prices and to see if its much different if i put my girlfriend on the same policy as another driver.
36.
£600/year for me and the girlfriend on a Mk4 Golf TDI and a Mk4 Golf R32. (Soon to change to £760/year when the R32 is swapped for an Audi S4.)
do you drive a honda?
Don't know for UK, but here many kids drive under their parents insurance, there are guys out here driving audi S3's, focus RS @ 18y old, paying no more than 350£ because daddy's signature is under it. This malficious behaviour makes it unaffordable for the good/naive taxpayers like me who have to pay 800£ a year for a type R.
When I first started driving I was a named driver in my dads insurance, otherwise I would have been paying double to if I had my own policy which was £1700 for a fiesta 950cc. For a 17 year old earning £150 a week it were a lot to scrabble together. It is illegal but you can see why young drivers and parents do this.
 What kind of statement is that? Who doesn't do as much as possible to avoid the possibility of an accident?
You should have your licence taken off you if you're caught driving around like this. If you hit someone and they have to claim off you and your insurance is void because you didn't declare the mods, where does that leave them?
If you can't afford to insure the car you've got then either drive something else or don't f*cking modify it in the first place.
