Thank you very much for the valuable feedback. Just for your information - I sent Cox Motor Parts a message a short while ago asking if their clutch kits are pattern parts or direct replacement. They came back and said that they only sell genuine Honda Parts.

Gents, Some excellent posts here! People here do indeed have a great deal of practical knowledge! I've got a 54 plate Civic Type-R (EP3) on 63K. Went in for a service and the garage told me that the clutch needs to be changes. Sometimes it is difficult to change gears but becomes "sorta" OK...

That's brill mate - thanks for that - will defo have a search through. On just a quick note - what's the best gearbox oil to use for Type-R 54 reg EP3 - do you have any idea which one it is? Also the additive I've heard about is Molyslip but I don't know if it's recommended :)
