Have you checked oil level? When was oil last changed? Yes def worth checking. There are a few covers/shields that can rattle. Manifold cover and driveshaft shield are common ones. They can be weird cars haha. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Do you know if the timing chain has been changed? I know a lot of people change it at 100k for piece of mind. Is it ever hard to start? I.e cranks for longer than usual or makes a clicking noise before starting? Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Started on engine cleaning and painting. Remove pulleys and water pump housing. Taped up intake and exhaust inlets. Gave engine a good decreasing. Then usings sandpaper and drill wire wheel smoothed it down. Then onto painting block with smooth silver hammerite. Then sanded rocker cover gave it...

Honda say the timing chain doesnt need changed. A lot of people recommend getting it changed at 100000miles though for peace of mind. If its rattling at all get it changed. The chain tensioner is known to fail. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Thanks for reply loxy. I thought it was mounts to start with so changed them. Knock was still there so got it on my mates ramp and he told me it was the gearbox. I will check if breakers offer any warranty. If not i think rebuilt as you mentioned. Thanks.

Hi Do you have to use honda type 2 coolant or can you use others? I went to my motor factors and asked for coolant for my ep3 type r. They gave me concentrate pink coloured coolant. Is this ok to use? Do i just fill half coolant half water? Thanks.

cheers. Got it done today. Took me about 3 hours.

Turn ignition on. Set heater to hot. Switch ignition off. Take off front bumper. Take drain plug out of resavoir tank and radiator. Flush system with hose. Tighten up drain plugs. Fill radiator. Fill resavoir to max mark. Put radiator cap on and turn half way so its on but not tight. Start...

Yeah its supposed to improve the car well. Theres plenty of options for cat backs which is good. And plenty of information and opinions on this forum with is good.

Yeah i think it fits onto b pipe ok. Yeah i know its not great over here for tuning. Thats why i was thinking reflash because its already set up you just have to plug it in. I would need a quiet b pipe because backbox is loud enough as it is lol.

At the minute its just lowered 30mm on springs and has dc sports backbox and cone filter. Looking at doing frsu. Then hopefully cat back, tegiwa induction and maybe reflash ecu. But for now gonna refurb alloys either black again or candy purple. And give it a good detail. Any future plan yourself?

Drove it about for a couple of hours. Left it overnight and had to add half a litre! So that was 5 and a half litres to max mark! Can't understand why it took so much.

Hi I have just noticed that my front drivers window is vibrating when putting the window up. It starts vibrating when window is half way up. Anyone know what is causing this? My car is ep3 type r 2004 81000 miles. Thanks
