Best insurer for young type r driver

Messages

hey guys pick up my CTR on tuesday, and looking for the best insurer im 21 but with 0 no claims bonus as i have always been a named driver, i have a quote with bell for £847 but its for 10months, but they give you a full years NCB!

who else are good?

Sky, Noel Dazely, Adrian Flux. All performance specialists. Might have age restrictions though.

Tried comparison websites?

Direct Line, More Than, A-plan and Greenlight are also commonly mentioned.

That price from Bell doesn't seem too bad IMO.

well i looked around and i have gone with bell, as like you all have said it is a pretty good price for 0 NCB!! and hopefully after the 10 months they will beat renewal quote and if not i will have a year ncb! so win win!!
Cannot wait to pick up my car!!!

847 is only £100 more than i paid last year and i was 24 at the time with 3 yeard NCB!!

Try elephant. I'm not a young driver (25) but I'm a driver that passed my test late so I'm, in the eyes of the insurers, an inexperienced driver - I couldn't tell them I was driving the missus' EK4 for about 4 years before passing myself :D

I got a reasonable quote from Elephant.

got the ccertificate through so everything is good nothing dodgey its in my name with correct details not worth taking the risk putting false details i thought it was cheap but thats why i grabbed with both hands!

Thanks for posting about Bell!

I insured myself with Admiral today, I am now going to cancel with their 14 day money back option and go with Bell. It will save me £140!

Have a look at adrian flux, im 23 and 4 years no claims quoted me 657 without the modifications on my car then with the mods it came up to 1000.
