Camera mounting positions

This is a question for those of you who record their track days and other shenanigans.

Currently in the track car we use one of the GoPro sticky pad mounts on the windscreen, but I have seen videos from behind the front seats which I quite like and wondered where and how they are mounted?

Our car doesn't currently have a roll cage but does still have the rear seats (haven't found a bin for the interior yet) so maybe I could use one of the rear headrests?

Where do you lot mount your cameras and what do you use?

I use the the rear headrests on mine .. see here for some of my vids. https://www.youtube.com/user/jasonsinternet/videos
I used to use a suction mount as well until they were frownd apon my the trackday organisers.
I've also used the camera below the front bumper for Spa this year back in April and cable-tied it which works well.. Not got any footage up from that yet as I've not edited it.

Thanks a lot, I've subscribed and I'll check them out when I'm home later :)

What did you use to hold it to the headrest pole?

New vid up from Spa in April on my Youtube channel with new bumper camera.
Will be adding more over the weekend.

Both of those could be DIY'd pretty easily. I've seen loads of headrest ideas from different people. It is a great location.

I have mine fitted on a suction cup to the passenger window not sure if it will be allowed on a track ***

Not usually!

I cobbled together a load of bits I have with my GoPro's and made this mount up.

This is how the footage looks, not 100% straight but you get the idea.
