Seen one of the non-type-r's today, they certainly look interesting. Rear vents can be seen from a mile off
 
I may have registered my interest with Honda Australia, seeing as this is the first Type R to make it downunder in a long time I am tempted. When it comes time to put money on the line, I am currently torn between the V8 mustang, 370z and this. The usual Commo(whore)dore HSV and Ford FPV's just don't press the right buttons. That and I don't sell nearly enough Meth to fit the lifestyle typically embodied by those owners.

That's real, it was there when I was there last week, although I never saw it in the flesh.

Left hand drive,
Not keen in rallye red, If the honeycomb is completely sealed then what is the point, I've also noticed it has the complete straight through vented front & rear fenders, from what I remember these were on the Fk2 prototype but according to Honda didn't make it to production due to some regulations, Or were they simply bullshiteing and just saving the design for the Fk8
 
IMO it was BS so Honda didn't have no manufacturer new wings when a cheaper bolt on plastic bodykit would suffice.

For sake of argument had a play on photoshop. Rear looks decent without the honeycomb I'd say

The grille at the front bumper doesn't look solid though, there's certainly a part of it (seen at bottom left of your picture) that is darker. Get the angle right on your screen and it'll be obvious.

Actually like the back with the mesh removed. Seibon kit removes it too, but may look odd if you only had that.
 
It's growing on me, I saw a normal one with twin exhausts this morning near Swindon and it had a lot of road presence.
