Insurance Costs for DC5 over an EP3?

Hi, I am thinking of getting a DC5 Type R. I know they are imported and will cost more but how much more on average would it cost than a EP3 Civic Type R? I am 37 so not young.

I know to get quotes is the answer but does anyone have a rough idea? £200 more? £500 more?

Its always hard to put exact figures on, but I've seen that the DC5 to some insurers is like a group 20 car and others struggle to even find it due to it being an import.

Best bet is to ring specialist insurers and get quotes

As above, you really need to ring the specialists for quotes as they can vary on a DC5. Rough guess though is that you should be paying less than £500.

It's more on the specific person, location, car history. Not the actual car.

For example I'm 21 and only paid £1,061 or so on my DC5 (all mods declared) and I also have 3 points.

Well I'm only 20 I've got an ep3 and now want a dc5 can I not insure one until I'm 21 that's what I've heard??????
