Is my head unit fecked?

Guys I have an Alpine H/U which is now about 4/5 yrs old and just lately whenever i have the fan on at anything more than half power it get interfernece with the radio. It only ever happens with the radio and not if a CD is playing and it's ONLY when i have the fan on that the interference occurs.

So is the h/u fecked or is there something i can do?

Apart from anything i particularly like the PARROT bluetooth capability for using the phone hands free.

Sounds like it might be an earth fault. Have you taken it out and had a look to make sure none of the loom from the stereo has rubbed on the cage.

I remembered when I wired in my first HU and the speakers whined louder everytime I revved up :lol: it was an earth fault, so I agree with the above.

I don't know about electrics - but the H/U in the link looks sick - I'd love that.

Thanks chap - i thought it looked quite good and a VERY resonable price too (IMO). I might just use this problem as an excuse to buy a new one anyway :lol:
