mfnick's Blobeye Impreza STi

Personally I think you need concave wheels on a Scooby because the make the car look wider from a 3/4 angle. Just my opinion, go with your gut. ;)

John is right, concave wheels will always give a car more virtual width and they allow for a wider wheel or lower offset.
The Revos are awesome Nick, but make sure you're sure before committing. I found when trying wheels for the Teg, some 5&6 flatter wheels can look very small under the shell, even up to 18's. A concave blade that spreads right up to the lip will always look better and bigger, even if they're not.

Cheers guys.
You can bet which ever set I end up buying I'll wish I got the other  I'm just hoping the NBO meet helps me make the right decision.

Yesterday I got my new Harvey Smith up pipe on and mapped along with the full 3" Decat exhaust. Also fitted a OEM Re-circ valve to get rid of the Turbosmart BOV since I hear they can cause problems even though it sounded good. Fitted a new fuel pump too (HRC one) since my Walbro has been on 2 years now.
Got a MAFless remap after all this at G-R Performance. Up to 347bhp now - well happy with that. Torque looks to have dropped to 301 from 330 but it feels even stronger on the road and Gary at GR said his rolling road doesn't read torque very well and I would probably get a much higher figure on another one. After feeling it on the road I completely believe that. Got pops and bangs mapped in too. Sounds bloody awesome :D
I can't recommend Garry enough at GR too. He did an amazing job fitting everything and put loads of work into the map. It drives so much smoother and easier be and revs much cleaner and faster. Hes got a EG Civic in too running 500+bhp so if you've got a turbo Civic I'd recommend him too ;). He's a top bloke too, good laugh and takes a huge amount of pride in his work. Will definitely use him regularly from now on for any works my other Scooby specialist can't do - mainly fabrication and mapping stuff.

I'll be going back next week to get launch control mapped in too - mainly for the noise rather than launching haha.

Cheers guys! I've probably got more enjoyment from the pops than I have the extra power so far, 'cause I'm right mature innit! ;) It's great when going downhill, can basically get it to pop and bang all the way down, sounds almost like anti-lag. Love it.
I'll be even worse with the launch control on - flames and bangs whenever I pull up somewhere

Sounds good dude

If you're down at JAE this year I might just have to swap you a drive in the GTR ;)

Mine is getting tuned next month too, can't wait!

Seriously?! I'd be well up for that mate. I love GTR's! A R33 is one of the cars I'd be looking at changing this for in the future.

Aye, they're more tame than you might imagine!!

I've had my eye on P1s for a while, but this would give me a good idea how it might drive :)

Actually, I wouldn't mind experiencing a bit of V-Tec action again :)
I'd prefer a DC5 though,:p reckon you can get one of those before JAE ;)

I honestly think you would be happier driving a car you know well, right colour and everything. Golden days and all that...

My cunning plan is for you to drive it, fall in love with it, buy it, then have a shot in the DC5 I buy with your money.

I'll swap you a drive Nick if you want bud?

Id be up for that mate :) Deal!

Thats a hell of a plan Jimbo, I like the thought and effort you're putting into it. But I think I'd rather just buy a DC5 with my money than let you

Whoop!

Just arrived this morning after ordering on Wednesday afternoon :).
Decided on the Rota GRA's as you can tell. I went to NBO on Sunday and no others really stood out and I didn't see a single one with these on. Obviously there were a few with similar multi-spoke design - XXR's being by far the most common - but none with this actual set :).
What helped my decision the most though was a stroke of luck. When I went for my launch control map (delayed until next Saturday now due to lack of time FYI) Gaz at G-R actually had a set of those Revolution Milleniums in his garage. Offered one up to the car and to be honest didn't think they suited it :(. They were battleship grey which was a rubbish colour so that didn't help but mostly they just looked a bit flat and lost. They looked really small too for some reason even though they were 18". Also can't get them in black from the factory which I would have preferred.

i am a bit disappointed they need spogit rings to fit though. On their website it says these have been specifically designed for Subaru's and to fit the hub perfectly. Oh well, very happy otherwise and they look mint in the metal.
Getting them fitted tomorrow :D Pics will follow.
