Mark, the gearchanges are superquick in a DSG mate.
Try one, fantastic bit of kit.
 
Yeah flappy paddle if you want, manual mode is cool. You can use the stick or paddles.
 
That's what I was thinking Stoo.

I can see myself with some variant or form of DSG at some point, but it doesn't sound cheap to fix when it needs replacing.

My mate had the DSG in his 04 RS6 it started to slip and the total cost was around £4k to repair, not a VW garage either so dread to think what it could have been with stealer costs

An RS6 puts a bit more stress on a gearbox than a 250bhp golf!

It's not a common occurrence anyhow.
It'll probably have even able to have it rectified at the dealer cheaper by performing mechatronics adaptations.

2004 RS6's only came with a normal auto box as well, not a double clutch unit.
