Oil questions and recommendations here

It's not ideal, Ford spec oils are designed to break down quickly so you may find it burns off quicker than normal, but it's better than using too little oil

Hi, sorry not regarding a type r, but wondered if you could recommend what oil will be ok for BMW 330ci just to keep as a top up

Thanks

Hey guy, which oil is best for my Honda Civic Type R EP3 2005 Plate. I know its most likely been answered on here already but I can't be bothered to read through all the comments! I use it for every day use! Thank you.

You could read the first three posts of this thread and you'd have your answer.

As was said, a 5w-40 is spot on.

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Fuchs Supersyn, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.

Cheers

The Edge 5w-40 and Mobil 0w-40 are fine, the only problem might be the 0w-40 may burn off quickly if you like using Vtec as it's quite thin for a SAE40.

Cheers

Tim

It's a very basic choice for a Civic Type R

A decent 5w-40 is a better option
