not had my pride and joy long always wanted one and now have got it BUT got insurance from the comparison sites and found quote A the cheapest so i thought!! but they are thieves got my car insured on the 8th feb £280 deposit sent ALL the paperwork i have off,few days later got letter saying i needed proof that i wasn't insured and had canceled my last policy on my last car!! never had this asked before but got the paperwork from my last insurance who was helpful fair play!! sent the paperwork off and got a letter a few days later asking for it again so i got another copy!! thought that must be it now!! got a phone call at work saying that because i haven't sent the paperwork off they have cancelled my policy even *** they took another £160 on the 8th march total £440 in one month im not getting a refund back and saying i owe them more money?? which now haven't got and my car has to go back in the garage until i can afford to insure it again gutted!! read reviews after and they have done this before to a few people!! i should have looked first but to late now!! so watch out for this lot!! got some mates recommended greenlight so going to try them next!!! hopes this helps??
 
I used an insurance comparison site and Flux Direct came up with the cheapest quote, I would avoid these too, I think it's run by two blokes in a small office.
 
I had a problem with ecar saying i didnt send off my proof of ncb so they wanted £600 for the year as i had no ncb on my policy. I emailed it twice and posted three times
In the end they (found) them and decided to let it go as i got a solicitor involved
 
This is the problem if you judge insurance companies purely on price. Cheapest company is going fcuk you about and/or not pay out if you have to claim.
 
This is what annoyed me because I didn't go for the cheapest for that reason
I'm sticking to companies I've heard of from now on that I know are reliable
 
this was the only reasonable quote that came up on money supermarket and go compare £1590 one off payment or £1725 monthly im 34 with 5years ncb 3 points (6mph) over the limit car is garaged, last car was a tank of a car mercedes E300 turbo deisel (not sporty but was powerful and sounded nice!!!) this country is paperwork mad!!! might have to sell the car due to not being able to get a decent insurance quote! its a joke!!!!

Greenlight have been very good to me over the past couple of years.

I don't bother with comparison sites now due to the mods, but spend a couple of hours every year ringing round the specialists. Time well spent IMHO.

How is that possible im 22 and mines less?
My insurance now has 4 ncb garaged 5k a year my mum as named
And modifications and private plate

I can recommend Greenlight too, they offer great service and superb prices. Proper nice lads to talk to on the phone and they know exactly what you are talking about when you mention mods etc.

yeah 2005 ep3 cat d 3 points 5 years ncb im 34 years young!! live in birmingham central?? got it down to £1100 fully comp with adrian flux now which i think is quite good???
