Tegiwa kit for EP3 is amazing (Gruppe M is better)

What are the Tegiwa kits like at low revs? Still nice and quite like standard? Just after cams switch it sounds crazy?

It doesn't sound constantly induction like on the motorway does it?

Don't want to sound like an old man, but ive done the incredibly loud modified thing with the last car, rather enjoying the ability to be both peaceful/manic with the Ep3, for now.

And new these are what, about 300 quid? Would this also require a modification of the panel above the bonnet also, just take a bit out looking at the pictures?

Quiet low revs. Midrange you can hear it but not loud or annoying soon as the vtec kicks in though it is brilliant! The sound from just an induction kit is amazing. The skuttle panel has to be modified but thats easy. Your skuttle panel is split in the middle so you just pop it down and pull it out. No need to remove wipers. The instructions to cut the panel are dead easy to follow. I got the inserts for it of tegiwa they sit in nicely.

Whats that? Gruppe m not showing gains over tegiwa? I got a tegiwa will be putting on a dyno soon so i will let you all no the gains

I have had both kits on my car and there is no difference really. The Tegiwa kit makes VTEC sound deeper maybe, but thats it. I'm not spanking another 700 quid or whatever they are for a Gruppe M again. Money I have saved has gone on ultra porn.

You can pick up a 2nd hand GM for around the price of a new Tegiwa, why buy a copy when you can have the real thing?

Actually ignore me, this has been done to death so I'll leave it there.

Lol its a never ending thread of opinions but im happy with what i have got for the time being

Have you ever seen them together? For a proper comparison? All will be revealed when you do.

The quality of construction and carbon weave is the biggest difference.

Yes, i see loads every week and there is no difference in quality of the construction, maybe the weave is ever so slightly better on the Gruppe M but i wouldn't be paying an extra £600+ for weave lol.

I didn't say that though. Was just pointing out that the heat shield isn't the only difference :)

I have seen this crop up all the time, the Gruppe M is of higher quality, there is no doubt about it, but then as you say it is more expensive - mainly due to the exchange rate.

I see it like this, if they were alloys ; the Tegiwa is the TSW Venom, whereas the Gruppe M is the VOLK CE28N. They both do the same thing, but one is better than the other :smt023

Only advantage I can really see for the GruppeM is it comes in a much bigger box so when the kits fitted you can store more "stuff" in that than the Tegiwa box!

Big boxs FTW!

:-#

These Gruppe M vs Tegiwa threads are becoming increasingly boring now. All buy what you want to and STFU.
