Tighten EP3 Handbrake

hi my handbrake goes really high which i dont like if i do this will it lower it and is there another way of doing it by the rear disks ( adjusting the shoes) some one told me
 
It will lower the lever yes. And I'm almost sure you only get shoes on cars with rear drum brakes.
