Type R #9 CW FD2

Just back from a long day at TGM.

I've had a few bits hoarded away for a while and thought it was about time I took a trip to get them fitted.

First up.

Spoon springs, bought a while ago after researching what suspension options to go for.

Mugen quick shifter.

What a great mod. Very noticeable in the shifts.

Had the geo set at 1.5 deg on the rear and 1 on the front.

The spoon springs sit very nicely.

I haven't had a chance to push the car yet but already I can feel the shocks are a worthy investment ! Before the ride was very crashy, even on a motorway the car would bounce you around, now the ride is nice and supple. Extremely happy with them - as mentioned the Mugen short shifter has made shifting more precise.

Will report back when I get out on a hoon.

Time to give the wallet a rest now ..

Nice car. My cousin owns an Mugen RR version of these...he doesn't drive it much cos of the value though lol would you say it's about the same performance as the DC5?

Thought you can't drive them on the road in the UK as they won't pass their test until rule changes in 2017

I never said he drove it UK. He lives in HK. They have a lot more access to JDM goods than UK. Only downside is that they can't tune their cars there.

Some cool photos there Dotty. You have got me thinking about the Mugen front grill for mine.

The car is looking good. I really like the Mugen Wind deflectors too.

absolute eater this its perfect but one thing what bugs my ocd and its those nasty mugen nuts on your rear plate, if it was stuck on it be epic but hey thats just my opinion, whats next for it mate

No real plans in the immediate pipeline.

Need to get the head unit and speakers fitted.

I've decided I'll be looking to get the Mugen lip which I believe compliments the grille and gives a more "aggressive" look to the front.

I like the bonnet too

I think that will look good with the RAYS wheels.

Fancy a Seeker, carbon blade too..

I went out in the car last night , first time i was able to give it some beans since having the suspension work. I have to say that was a great investment. It's already good out of the box but now it feels even greater, had a bit of a Touge battle with an sti hatch and I think he was unpleasantly surprised.
