If anyone investigating this could let us know how this goes, I would be grateful.

It's not often that a car is nicked and then blatantly turns up on PH a couple of days later. Shows the level of mental capacity the scum who nicked it have.

So let me get this straight. They pinched the car, which is a fairly rare one at that, then stick it up for sale on one of the biggest motoring websites out there? You have to be some kind of stupid to think you are getting away with that eh?

No the car was advertised by the owner, Sean, then nicked whilst he's on holiday chap

Maybe the actual owner was selling it and posted up the ad before he went on hols? or even while he was on hols?

Surely to god no one is that dumb to nick it and then try to sell it there.

 I thought the thief posted the ad aswell.

I feel sorry for the bloke though, an iconic car in such good condition being probably either taken for a joy ride and abused or sold off to Europe?USA is a gutting thought

No way it could be sold in Ireland or on the mainland... News of this has spread like wildfire too. I really hope the guys gets his cars back, but he'll never get back the jewelery and the rest that he lost...

let's say the car was found burnt out, how much would the insurance people pay out? I mean on the one hand it's a 1992 escort, but on the other it's probably one of the finest examples left in the world?
