So, a lot of work done to the car the past few weekends! I'm prepping The car for sale and one thing that had always let it down was the quality of the paint. It wasn't in great shape as the pictures below will show. The car is only used in dry weather, (well there wasa month period I used it as a daily as my wife had sold her car and my daily was needed to get her around!)
There were a few dings so I had a dent man remove them beforehand and then got to work. :buffer:
Main process was Menz Final Finish on a Sonus SFX2 pad, and this left me with a bit of marring which was an absolute pain to deal with. Eventually I managed to clear it up with final finish on an finishing pad and working the polish longer. You will see from the pictures below that I correct the paint which leaves the marring and then clarity is restored with another pass.
To finish I used Prima Amigo and finally Vics Red for a deep glossy finish. It's a perfect combination and I love using the products, really easy to use.
Anyway, i'll let the pictures do the talking.....
Bilbery Wheel Cleaner, Iron X and Tardis
Pretty bad!
Correction done, just marring to correct now:
Done!
End of the night, finished most panels and start again the next weekend!
The next weekend I got to play with the fun stuff!
This is a great bit of kit by the way!
I'd cleaned up my arches so put another layer of protection on my coilovers with this stuff....
Finished pictures. Enjoy!
I'm pleased with the results, achieved about 90% correction and the car looks incredible so i'm more than happy.
Anyone who's interested the car is for sale so PM me for details by the way, I'll be putting a full for sale ad together soon.
Apologies for all the pictures by the way!
