Big Ends knocking- i got ripped off!!

Had this problem a few years ago,brought an escort cosworth from a dealer in kent and I live in birmingham.Driving it back it was clear that most things on it were not right.I drove it home and was abit panicked,so set off the next day bright and early to take the car back, phoned in work to pull a sickey and phoned my soliciter on the way down there.
She told me the only way you can take something back was if you were sold something in which you thought you were buying something else,ie.honda civic type r prem addition and it turns out not to be a prem addition but as for the big end bearings you should have checked that all was fine and the seller will just say it was down to u,u checked the car over.

Hey Guys, I'm back been away working so i've been really busy.

So i rang the seller told him the story and to be honest he didn't give a **** and totally denied any fact of knowing that the car had any of these problems. Which he might not of but i told him i was taking it further and i wasn't gonna let it lie.

Ok so i've been in touch with consumer direct and Trading standards told them the story and they were very helpful and there in touch with him and helping me through the process of taking it through the small claims courts.

They give me the advice of checking my past MOT's also i know rossy t did send the links but quite frankly i didn't wanna check it. They told me if i didn't check it and the mileage had been put back i would have a much stronger case also because i have Full Honda Service History Stamps E.t.c,

So i've passed all this information on to a solicitor that consumer direct advised me to get along with copys of my Service book addresses of honda stamps and garages. I'm going to be hearing the latest this monday or tuesday but they do believe i've got a certain winner on this case woohooo!!. Cant wait to get the shed out of my drive and get a new 1 its just taking so long and i really want to be driving.

I'm pleased you've come back with this. I don't know how people dare clock cars these days with all the simple checks you can do. I'd love to throttle the scumbag who sold it myself. Just hang in there, soon you'll be able to have the full propper experiance. :)
