BMW M2 competition

I sold my FK8 a little while ago whilst wbac were paying silly money for them. It was basically free motoring for a year - great cars but fancied a change ...

I bought a Mk7.5 Golf R which lasted for 6 weeks before I decided it wasn’t for me (read as ; terribly boring) it would be a great daily driver but seriously lacked any fun factor.

Here’s a pic !

So.. after owning an lci m2 , which also had its flaws but not many..I had to consider something as a ‘last hurrah’.

Here’s a pic !

So a couple of weeks ago I collected this

It’s brand new (one of the last) with both packs, DCT , heated steering wheel and speed limit display etc. It’s still running in so I can’t take it last 5k RPM but so far so good and even under 5k revs it has plenty of poke.

I'm sure you're already on it, but I've got Bimmercode and a suitable BT dongle if you need any of the available settings, "Tweaking."

I’ve heard people have tinkered with these things and bricked the Idrive. I’ll be leaving well alone. It does everything I need and more :)

Oh, I thought I'd FUBAR'd mine changing my Idrive to an M35i config, but managed to salvage it.

Pretty simple if you don't do the impossible.

Handle better than the OG? Same sort of power delivery even with the extra power?

No it’s more like vtecyo. The n55 was Spikey .. this seems more progressive. Though I can not exceed 5k rpm at the moment until the run in service is carried out.

Very nice man!

I am considering the new GR Yaris myself... looks real fun and pretty good deals on them.

Can I ask how many miles we’re on the car when you picked her up? You shouldn’t have had to do any running in for it’s service. Should have already been done for you. Beautiful car mate congratulations. So so much fun.

About 4 miles.

All ‘M’ cars need a run in service at 1200 miles.

Shouldn’t be delivered until that’s done. I used to work for BM and one of the perks was doing the run ins on the M cars. We put the miles on!
