I still have OEM manifold & cat so its not too loud at all really... think i might decat in the next couple months :D
 
I've been researching new manifolds too, I like the idea of having a sports cat incorporated into the b-pipe instead of the silencer. EP3Pete had it done by TDI North and I think there's a couple of FN2s with a similar set up, seems like a good comprimise to me, personally I CBA with changing out decat pipes. You'll probably see some healthy figures after a decat and remap!

How do you find the engine and gearbox mounts? Make much of a difference? I'm tempted.
 
Yeh i was looking into this, but have located a friendly MOT guy, so decat isn't going to be a problem there :D


The engine does seem to run more efficiently with the mount inserts in place, but you do get a fair bit of vibration on idle. They do loosen up slightly after a few weeks, but I quite like the vibrations :p

I've just watched the video - Makes me want to man up.. Get in my EP3 and get over there!

Are there regular 'Public' days there? Was it very much?

no I didnt get out there as planned in October unfortunately :( funds werent the best at the time!

but TRO normally go every year in April and I will definitely be going back then! :p

We normally go with the Circuit Days events as they are really good at organisation, and dont charge you for extra drivers/passengers etc

You can also use http://www.trackdays.co.uk and various others, but Circuit Days was one of the cheaper events IIRC, and was £299 in April
